Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of crtct.org , there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for crtct.org:
- PDFs: Some PDF documents on this site may not be fully accessible to screen readers or other assistive technologies. This includes scanned documents that lack selectable text, and documents that were not created with accessibility in mind. because Our PDF library includes a mix of document types: scanned images of physical documents, third-party documents provided by external organizations, and internally created documents. Not all of these were produced with accessibility standards applied.. We are actively reviewing our PDF library and working to tag, remediate, or replace documents that do not meet accessibility standards, prioritizing those we have control over. Third-party documents are outside our direct control, but we are working to identify accessible alternatives where possible.. f you need the content of a specific document in an accessible format, please contact us at augurk@crtct.org or (860) 560-5600 and we will do our best to provide an alternative version or the information another way..
- Videos: Some video content on this site may not include captions, transcripts, or descriptive summaries, making it inaccessible to users who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who cannot access audio content. because Videos on this site include a mix of internally produced content and third-party embedded videos. Not all existing videos were originally published with captions or transcripts, and captioning accuracy on auto-generated captions (where present) may not meet accessibility standards.. We are reviewing our video content and working to add accurate captions, transcripts, or summaries to videos we control. For third-party embedded content, we are evaluating whether accessible alternatives or supplementary materials can be provided.. If you need a transcript, summary, or other accessible alternative for a specific video, please contact us at augurk@crtct.org or (860) 560-5600 and we will work to provide one as quickly as possible..
