FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions about CRT’s Hiring Process

Q. Can I be notified of positions that match my skills and interests?

A. We encourage you to check back frequently to review job openings. Please apply to any open position where you believe you meet the qualifications. Thanks!

Q. I applied for a position and want to check the status of my submission.

We review all applications and resumes that are submitted, but we regret that we cannot respond to every applicant. If you do not hear from us, please check the status of the position on our Job Search page. When the position is filled, it is removed from the listing.

For your convenience, you may call CRT’s Human Resources Department at 860-560-5600 to speak to the Human Resources’ Generalist recruiting for the position that interests you.

Q: Can I use the sample application form to apply for more than one position?

A. At this time, when you apply online, you will only be able to apply for one position at a time. However, once you create your profile, you will be able to use that profile to quickly apply for different open positions within the agency. If you are applying using a paper form, it is highly recommended that you submit one application for each position that interests you.

Q. I just submitted my application but need to make a change. How do I make a correction?

A. If you made a mistake on the application or forgot to include a form, please resubmit your full application.

Q. I applied online but would like to send hard copies of my resume and cover letter. Where can I send these?

A. We do accept documents in hard copy. They can be mailed to our offices or dropped off with our receptionist at Community Renewal Team, Inc., 555 Windsor Street, Hartford CT, 06120. Please mark the document “Attention Human Resources.”

Q. Will CRT sponsor H-1B visas for non-U.S. citizens?

A. At this time, CRT does not sponsor H-1B visas for non-U.S. citizens.

Q. Does CRT have an internship program? If so, how can I apply?

A. Yes, CRT does have an internship program. Explore CRT’s internship and volunteer opportunities on our Volunteers and Interns pages.

Q. Does CRT have closing dates for positions?

A. Open positions at CRT remain posted until they are filled. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible to be considered for any open positions, and check back frequently to review new job openings.
