Julie Ackerman

Assistant Vice President, Planning

Julie Ackerman oversees both CRT’s Planning Department and the Quality Assurance Department for the agency. As such, she is responsible for identifying and pursuing innovative funding opportunities to address community needs and in  support of CRT’s mission, vision and values.  She also directs research and data gathering, as well as agency communications, development, marketing and reporting. Resources raised assist CRT’s ability to better serve Central Connecticut families, individuals and communities.

Julie has more than 35 years’ experience working with community action agencies in Connecticut. She earned the Grantsmanship Center Certification and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Charter Oak State College. She is a Certified Community Action Professional through the national Community Action Partnership.
