CRT’s 2026 Financial Literacy Institute
Institute Description & Goal: The Community Renewal Team (CRT) Financial Literacy Institute (Institute) is a fourteen (14) week course dedicated to providing financial literacy instruction and resources to participants of various racial, ethnic, cultural, and economic statuses. Core areas of financial health addressed include money management; understanding financial products; establishing credit and credit rebuilding; forward planning for emergencies; retirement investment; saving; acquiring assets and types of insurance to protect from losses. The goal of the Institute is to have participants realize enhanced personal financial capability that leads to financial self-reliance.
