Nancy Isa

Director of Nutrition

As the Director of Nutrition, Nancy oversees a team at CRT that prepares and delivers hot, nutritious meals to both the elderly and children in Hartford and Middlesex Counties. This includes both a daily comprehensive Meals on Wheels program for medically home-bound seniors, as well as meals typically delivered to congregate sites, such as Senior Centers, where seniors can gather for lunches eaten together. During the summer months, Nancy oversees CRT’s efforts for the Summer Food Service Program, delivering up to 1,000 meals per day to school-age children throughout the Greater Hartford area, helping to combat hunger when school is out of session.

Nancy’s career began in the hospitality industry; where she managed food and beverage operations for a luxury hotel group in Washington, D.C., New York City and Boston.  Her passion for the elderly developed when she moved back home to Connecticut and assisted in the care of her centenarian grandmother, “Nana” who received Meals on Wheels.  Nancy quickly realized the power that food and nutrition have in enhancing the overall well-being of home-bound elderly.  She has a B.S. in Hotel Administration and Masters in Clinical Nutrition.
