On February 28, 2026, CRT and CCEH are excited to host the second annual Coldest Night of the Year in Hartford!  This winter-themed family-friendly walk aims to raise funds for people experiencing homelessness and hunger.

Held at night on what is typically the coldest night of the year, this event provides a unique opportunity for participants to empathize with those who endure the chill of the streets for extended periods.  The 2026 walk kicks off at CRT, located at 555 Windsor Street.  Participants can choose between a 5 km trek that takes you through Hartford to the Capitol Building or a more relaxed 2 km fun walk. After the walk, enjoy hot chocolate and a light dinner to warm up!

Whether you want to form a team, join an existing one, or walk solo, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference.  Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Grab your warm coat and come join the fun!
