National Arts

The National Arts Program® For Hartford and Middlesex Counties

CRT 29th National Arts Program invites you to be inspired to create and unleash your inner artist.  

Express yourself through art, share and learn from others. This is the opportunity for someone who loves to make art or that person who never takes the time to create, although they really should!
All Skill Levels Welcome!
There is no fee to enter the program.
All entries (paintings, works on paper, photography, sculpture, craft, mixed media) completed within the last three years may be submitted. 
Cash Prizes Awarded! 
Register for the National Arts Program by Friday, February 7, 2020.  
Exhibit Open February 13 – March 2, 2020 at Capital Community College, Hartford.

Cash prizes will be awarded in each of the following categories: 
  • Amateur – an adult with little or no experience
  • Intermediate – an adult with some experience, beginning art students, etc
  • Professional – an adult with serious art training or employed in an art-related job
  • Youth (12 Years and younger)
  • Teen (ages 13 - 18)
  • Teens Looking Out For Teens- individual teens or groups of teens can submit a piece of art that evokes a greater understanding of the social issues affecting teens. (more information on this page)
Be sure to save the date for the 29th Annual National Arts reception and presentation of awards on February 22, 2020 starting at 11:00 am. 
The Awards Reception will be held in Centinal Hall located on the 11th floor of Capital Community College. In the event of inclement weather, the reception will be rescheduled for February 29, 2020.
