Support Group
CRT’s Opioid Education Family Support Group is a peer-led support group for family and friends of someone who struggles with opioid use. Participants must be 18 or older. They will gain insight and support from peers and qualified experienced facilitators who understand the struggle of caring for someone with an Opioid Use Disorder.
Opioid Education Support Groups are unique because they follow a structured model, ensuring everyone feels heard and supported.

- Free Narcan training, education, and distribution
- Designed for loved ones of individuals with Opioid Use Disorder.
- Led by family members of people who struggle or have struggled with Opioid Use
- In-person and virtual group options
- Groups are held in both Hartford and Middletown
- Bi-lingual Spanish speaking groups are available
- Confidential
CRT’s Opioid Education Family Support Group will help you:
- Learn to set boundaries with your loved one
- Respond if your loved one is experiencing an Opioid Overdose
- Develop healthy coping skills to support your loved one while taking care of yourself
- Find community in others who are experiencing similar struggles and difficulties with their loved one
