Vice President, Organizational Advancement

Julie Ackerman, Vice President of Organizational Advancement is responsible for developing, managing, and promoting all aspects of CRT’s advancement efforts focused in the primary areas of: Government, Foundation and Corporate grant making opportunities; research, development, and special events; public relations, marketing, communications, and quality assurance.  As such, she is responsible for identifying and pursuing innovative funding opportunities to address community needs in support of CRT’s mission, vision and values.  Resources raised assist CRT’s ability to better serve Central Connecticut families, individuals, and communities.

Julie has more than 40 years’ experience working with community action agencies in Connecticut. She earned the Grantsmanship Center Certification and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Charter Oak State College. She is a Certified Community Action Professional through the national Community Action Partnership.
