SNAP Employment & Training

Access training, build skills and land a job with CRT support

Career counseling, job training and work experience are available to SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) recipients from the Greater Hartford area. CRT staff helps individuals select from a list of services and programs based on interests, goals and needs, and assists with job training and job searches. Staff speaks English and Spanish. 

The CT State Department of Social Services (DSS) makes all referrals to this program. SNAP was formerly known as the Food Stamp program.


To Apply
Adult SNAP recipients from the Greater Hartford area are eligible. They will be invited by letter to learn more about the program. After completing some paperwork, individuals will select from a list of services and programs based on their needs and interests. CRT will confirm placement by letter.
