Money Management

CRT helps people understand and manage their finances

CRT workshops and programs in CT teach people to manage their money, and help them protect their homes. Financial literacy classes help people take control of their money. Workshops cover budgeting, credit repair, debt management and more. Home buyer classes and housing counseling are available. A matched savings program helps individuals save for a new home, a new business, a car or an education.

Staff also work one-on-one with participants. They counsel people on debt, money management and credit rebuilding. Help is available for people at clear risk of losing their home or apartment. Volunteers offer free tax preparation and filing.

Select the program(s) that best fits your need.

“I encourage other people to get involved with CRT. They helped me repair my credit, start a matched savings account and understand my home buying options. I want people to know that there are resources out there.”

I put money away to grow my business, and CRT’s IDA program matched my savings with $2 for every $1 I banked! You’re going to see my healthy soups in area grocery stores, thanks to the investment I’m making in marketing and distribution. This is more than my business, it’s my passion!."
