Food Assistance Programs

Are you hungry? CRT helps individuals and families, children and seniors find healthy food

CRT has food programs to help people in Middlesex and Hartford counties. Many Connecticut people are fed through these food assistance programs including thousands of children and seniors each year.

CRT Resource Centers distribute up to three days of food to individuals and families. Call to see if food is available. Click CRT Resource Centers for more information about our Food Pantries.

Food Share mobile distribution sites are located throughout greater Hartford. CRT hosts bi-weekly sites at 555 Windsor Street and 10 Marshall Street, Hartford. Click to find a map of all distribution sites open to the public.
 

Senior Community Cafés offer lunch to people 60 years or older and their spouses or caretakers. Cafés are located Hartford and Tolland counties. Most are open Monday through Friday. Click Senior Community Cafés for more information about our Community Cafes.

Meals on Wheels are available to seniors who are homebound. Healthy lunches and dinners are delivered to your home. Click Meals on Wheels for more information about this program.

The Summer Food program for children is available in Colchester, Enfield, Glastonbury, Middletown, Portland and Windsor Locks. Children 18 years or younger and parents or caretakers, in some locationsget free healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks; some locations also have activities. Most sites are open Monday through Friday from the last week of June through the third week of August. Click Summer Food for locations, hours and information about this program.
