Leadership

STRATEGY:

Engage a broad regional coalition to develop and implement a plan to address poverty, while developing grassroots leaders who can advocate for themselves and their community.

After more than 40 years serving the people of Central Connecticut, CRT has the expertise to make things happen.

Sometimes that means being a pioneer – as when we built the first low-income assisted living facility in the state.

Sometimes that means stepping in to help out a struggling program, offering assistance or leadership or resources.

CRT is working with partners across the region to raise the level of dialogue and the depth of research around the issues of poverty, homelessness, addiction and more. Through marketing, we reach our many customers with information about education and healthy behavior.

CRT is enriched by grassroots leaders like Teri Morrison. Like many other Head Start parents, she joined her center’s Policy Committee, enjoyed making program decisions, and then moved onto the regional Policy Council. Currently she is chair of that Council and a member of CRT’s Board of Trustees.
