Youth Artisan and Technology Program (YAT)

 

Services

The Youth Artisan and Technology (YAT) program provides urban at-risk youth ages 12 – 17 with summer and after-school educational and positive youth development activities in the creative arts and related technology as a healthy alternative to risky behaviors and as a preparation for higher education, citizenship, and the world of work.

Current programs include:

- Performance choral group
- A cyber café
- Instruction on video and music production
- Recording studio
- Keyboarding and basic music theory
- Painting, drawing, and animation

 

Eligibility Requirements

Youth must be between the ages of 12 and 17 and provide general demographic along with parent authorization.

 

Application Process

Parents must complete an application for youth to be accepted.

The After School Program
Monday – Thursday
3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Summer Programming
Monday – Friday
9:00 am – 3:00 pm
