Services

IRS trained volunteers at CRT Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites offer the free tax
filing assistance from mid January - April 15 at 8 sites in Hartford, Middletown and East Hartford.
CRT VITA volunteers help taxpayers prepare
basic tax return forms, where the primary source of income is from wages and salaries. The tax returns are filed electronically from the sites at no cost. Filed electronically, refunds are generally received within 2 weeks.

Eligibility Requirements

Tax preparation and filing services is for low to moderate income people (under $50,000).
