The CRT Supportive Housing Collaborative provides housing subsidies and support management services for homeless families referred from shelters in the Greater Hartford region. Assistance includes case management, life skills training, employment and education, substance abuse counseling, mental health counseling and groups in areas such as money management, parenting skills, etc. Length of stay in the program is up to two years.

 

Eligibility Requirements

Clients must be heads of households with children and must be living in a homeless shelter at the time of referral. Clients must have some form of income (TANF included), be able to pay 30% of gross income, be eligible to have utilities and phone turned on in their own name, be clean and sober for at least 90 days and be willing to follow the program’s rigorous requirements.

 

Application Process

Clients are referred to this program by shelter staff, through the HUD case manager connected to that program or by contacting the Program Manager.
