Services

The Greater Hartford and Middlesex Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) presents a unique opportunity for people age 55 years and older. It allows them to actively participate in their communities by matching their knowledge, skills and talents through meaningful, coordinated and organized volunteerism, which enhances their lives and the lives of those they serve.

For example, the RSVP Program offers adults the opportunity to tutor and mentor children, assist travelers at Bradley Airport, work at WFSB 3 On-Your-Side, assist at area shelters, support families in need or knit for the elderly and Head Start “Hats for Healthy Kids” Program.

RSVP’s Outreach Program offers outings to encourage socialization and interaction among elderly people and people with special needs, living alone or in public housing.

Families in need, frail elderly and the children in CRT’s Head Start and Infant/Toddler programs benefit from RSVP knitting.
