Middlesex Education and Training Consortion (METC)

 

Services

CRT’s METC program is for TANF clients who reside in Middletown. This program encompasses a personalized educational and skills assessment, enrollment in adult education classes and vocational training in one of three career tracks:
- Healthcare (Certified Nurse’s Assistant)
- Retail (Sales Clerk)
- Financial Services (Bank Teller)
Every participant earns a certificate from Middlesex Community College or other vocational provider. Enrollees move into on-the-job training offered through the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce where clients will receive job placement assessment and assistance.

 

Eligibility Requirements

Clients must reside in the Middletown area, receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits, be vocational skills deficient, and test up to an 8th grade level.

 

Application Process

Clients must be referred through One-Stop or enroll by testing with Program Director.
