Grocery Delivery Program for Seniors |
ServicesMany seniors find they are unable to do their own grocery shopping because they lack transportation, stamina to walk around the supermarket, or strength to carry the groceries into their homes. Others may be temporarily homebound because of bad weather or an illness. Elders living in Greater Hartford can have groceries delivered to their homes twice each month, without paying a delivery fee. From fresh produce and meats to dishwashing liquid and laundry soap, the program will deliver everything that is normally found on supermarket shelves. Delivery staff will bring the bags directly into the customers’ homes. Funding is provided through the North Central Area Agency on Aging. Our service contributes to our clients’
