Food Stamp Employment and Training |
ServicesThe Food Stamp Employment and Training Program (FSE&T) moves clients toward meaningful employment by instituting career exploration, providing employability skills workshops and coordinating Job Development and Employer Services within CT Works. |
Eligibility RequirementsClients must be Food Stamp mandatory
registrants, between the ages of 18 and 50 who are able-bodied adults without dependents (ABAWDs). Non-ABAWDs and ABAWDs who reside in waived or exempted towns are not subject to the same work requirement, but may be referred to FSE&T and must participate
as assigned. |
Application ProcessDSS Eligibility Services Workers screen clients and refer those eligible to CRT, using a Form 1120. CRT’s Employment Specialist will assist the client in selecting a program from the list of available services; issue a detailed appointment letter; and provide directions and transportation assistance, if necessary. |
