DOC Transitional Supervision Residence Program

 

Services

The CRT DOC Transitional Supervision Residence Program provides temporary housing and supportive services to men and women who are being released from prison and would be homeless without intervention. Services are provided in the community, and incorporate case management, vocational services, anger management, cognitive restructuring, employment retention, life skills education and clinical services. The program is for six months at which point clients graduate and move to other transitional or permanent housing.

 

Eligibility Requirements

Clients must be under DOC transitional supervision, 18 years and older residing in Hartford, have a history of serving time in prison, and no history of violence. Clients must be able to obtain employment and pay 30% of their income toward their rent and other expenses.

 

Application Process

Clients are referred to the program from the Department of Correction caseworker.
