Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) - Daycare Homes

Services

CRT’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) reimburses licensed home day care providers for serving nutritious meals to the children enrolled in their day care homes. CACFP provides other supplementary services to ensure the best possible nutrition for the children enrolled in these day care homes.

Basic training is provided on meal planning, meal service, menu compliance, and sanitation.
Annual CACFP workshops include nutrition, early childhood education, and small business issues. CACFP also provides on-going help and support including meal service monitoring, and resources available for health and nutrition workshops.

Participation in CACFP is available in Hartford, Middlesex, and New London Counties to licensed day care providers caring for children 12 years of age and under.
