Byrne Memorial Housing Program

Services

The CRT Byrne Supportive Housing Program is designed to provide housing assistance and supportive services to men and women who are released from prison and are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The program provides intensive case management services, clinical services, and vocational services. The program is for one year, at which point clients graduate and move to other permanent housing.

Application Process

Clients are referred to the program by prison caseworkers, parole liaison, and halfway houses.

Eligibility Requirements

Clients must be Hartford residents who are 18 years of age or older, have recently come out of prison and must have been homeless at least once before entering prison. Clients must obtain employment or receive some type of income once accepted into program. Clients must also be able to pay $50 of their income as a monthly fee.
